Buddies is a Citizen Assist Group fashioned to assist the one State Park in Palm Seashore County, Florida – John D. MacArthur Seashore State Park.
Since 2001, Buddies has supported marine science and environmental schooling with their Pure Science Schooling Applications, free to all PBC college students, 1st – Twelfth grade, which focuses on experiential, hands-on EE, aligned to state requirements and STEM connections. For college students who can’t go to the park in particular person, Buddies gives Digital Subject Journeys that supply a stay, interactive platform the place college students watch from their lecture rooms as our Director of Schooling and a Park Ranger current on numerous ecological subjects, like endangered vegetation and animals, ocean meals chains and interconnectedness, and seashore dynamics of abrasion, weathering, and deposition.
Buddies holds Skilled Improvement workshops for educators, each formal and non-formal.
