Bradbury the Composer – Rhemalogy


William Batchelder Bradbury was born on October 6, 1816, in York, Maine. His father was the chief of a church choir. He moved to Boston along with his mother and father and brother Edward G. Bradbury. There he met Lowell Mason, and by 1834 was generally known as an organist. In 1840, he started instructing in Brooklyn, New York.

Bradbury died on today, 1868 in Bloomfield, New Jersey (now Montclair, New Jersey) on the age of 51. He was buried in Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield, New Jersey.
