A funnel cloud was noticed forming over Wirral earlier on Wednesday.

The funnel cloud, which is the stage earlier than a twister, shaped over Leasowe.

The sighting occurred after a day of unhealthy climate hit the realm.

Thunder, lightning and robust winds hit and heavy hail turned the streets white.

Alex Clerc filmed heavy hail battering his entrance drive in West Kirby which left a layer of ice.

Alex stated: “The Video is mine from my driveway, as couldn’t even get off our drive to take my toddler to toddler group, as we dwell on a hill & all of the automobiles had been caught exterior”
