NASA’s Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory has briefly stopped its science observations whereas the mission group investigates a problem.

On Tuesday evening (Jan. 18), the observatory, a gamma-ray looking house telescope initially known as the Swift Gamma-Ray Burst Explorer, went into secure mode and paused all science work. This maneuver could have been in response to a response wheel failure, which the mission group continues to discover.
